Just had the strangest passing cravings- tiramisu then fried bologna sandwich with American cheese and mustard. Wth is wrong with me?! Have I been programmed to crave this or is there an actual nutritional need I am craving? Strange.
This morning I started off with lemon water and coffee. Mid morning was 1 pack of apples and cinnamon oatmeal and cup of green tea. I started drinking green tea about a week ago. Let me just say it has been very addictive. I crave it! I started drinking it as the Japanese do, to clear my skin and boost my metabolism. My mother days I look slimmer in the face already... Hmm I hope I don't become so used to it I need more and more to get the same effects. After my shower this morning I treated my face to light day moisturizer with SPF and light makeup. I totally meant to put on body cream but completely spaced out. I did buy the Vaseline spray body oil stuff that dries instantly- which is awesome, but only if you use it. There is always tomorrow.
I am an American. I am not 100% sure what my DNA holds. I know my fathers mother's genealogy harkened back to Alsace-Loraine and Switzerland. My grandfather was a 1st generation American, his parents were from Bohemia and Germany. My mothers side I am told is Irish, Scottish, and English. And my great grandmother is half Native American. She is still alive at 95!
So like many Americans, I am a complete mess genealogically. This has made a wide gene pool with beautiful people, but many of us are lost when it comes to enhancing our beauty or maintaining our weight. Our diets are so full of corn products and sugar that as a nation obesity and poor health have become the norm. I am not here to fat shame. I am not here to be pro ana. I want to find out if the slim Japanese have a healthy diet down to a science, being there are so few obese people there. I want to find out if the French have some kind of secret skin care weapon. I want to know how the Indian have the healthiest, longest hair that shines. I am ever so curious how those Russian ballerinas have slender long muscles.
I am trying this because I am tired of American diets, being told the only way to loose weight is to work extremely hard at the gym, and being exposed to constant food temptations. I am starting this blog because I would like to share this journey with you. America cannot keep relying on fast food and diet pills, chemically processed hair, nails, food, hell- even cleaning products!!!
By the way, I will be cleaning like the British maids. Lemons and vinegar.
Alas, my job dictates I be seated at a computer for 8 hours a day so I will attempt to maximize my time mornings, evenings and weekends. Adios, auf wiedersehen, au revoir!
